Continuing to grow...

March 27, 2015

We were excited to have been awarded Teacher Enrichment Grants that allowed us to attend the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) conference this past week where we had the opportunity to visit various sessions on employing accelerated methods of teaching, incorporating group classes into our studios, the art of teaching master classes, etc. We are excited to incorporate some of these new ideas into our studio.

One of the most inspiring moments of the conference was the concert given by Ann Schein - the legendary American pianist and teacher (who studied with Arthur Rubinstein) - who, at the age of 75, gave a powerful performance of Schumann's Davidsbundlertanze, Beethoven's Sonata op. 81a, and Chopin's Sonata no. 3 in b minor. (Here is a photo of DMA instructor, Eneida Larti with Ann Schein).
